Luqueney Pearson
Hello, I am the Accommodation and Welfare Officer here at IH Bristol.
I match students with our lovely hosts and ensure that they have a welcoming and safe experience during their time with us. I am here to help!
I am originally from Havana, Cuba, where I had worked in the education sector for 10 years, teaching English as a foreign language to SEN students. After moving to the UK in 2002, I worked in customer service, hospitality and was the Accommodation Manager at a Language School in Bristol. I absolutely love meeting and helping people from different countries and cultures!
In my spare time, my Cuban roots will take me to the likes of salsa dancing, reggaeton and bachata but I also like to listen to 80’s and 90’s pop music! You may find me at “Popworld” one day! Other than that, I enjoy looking after my elderly mother at home, cooking Cuban and European style food and spending time with friends and family.
I also have a special interest in the Japanese culture! I would love to visit the cherry blossom season and take lots of lovely pictures of Mount Fuji in the spring. One can only hope!
