Exams - Dates, Fees and Apply

This page gives details of exam dates, deadlines for entry and prices for all the upcoming sessions for the following four exams: B1 Preliminary for Schools, B2 First, B2 First for Schools, C1 Advanced and C2 Proficiency.

Exam dates and deadlines

For every exam, there is a date for the Speaking exam and another date for the Reading, Writing and Listening exams. Sometimes these dates will be the same; please check carefully when booking so you know on which days you need to attend. You will receive a Confirmation of Entry via email no later than 10 days before your exam, confirming the date and time for each part of your exam.
If you have not received your Confirmation of Entry at least 10 days before your exam, please notify us via email at exams@ihbristol.com.

In all cases, the closing entry date is the last date when we can definitely receive an application to take the exam. After the deadline dates, we may be able to accept candidates for that session but doing so will incur a late entry fee of £45.

Exam Preparation Courses

We offer Cambridge exam preparation courses throughout the year to help you achieve the best possible result in your exam.

Our 10 week courses typically start in January, April and September/October, and we also run a 4-week intensive course in August - if you book one of these courses, your exam is included in the cost of your course price.

If you would like to study for fewer weeks this is possible too, however, we would recommend first taking a level test so we can make sure your goals are realistic for the time you have.
